You can use this little program to work out your expected date of confinement (EDC) - an estimate of when you are going to have your baby. To use the calculator, enter the date of the first day of your last period (LMP). If you have to estimate your LMP date, then it makes the EDC calculation even more of an estimate.
If your pregnancy is not yet confirmed then your local pharmacist can advise you regarding appropriate pregnancy testing kits. Once your pregnancy is confirmed you should consult your doctor who will arrange your ante-natal care. If the pregnancy test is persistently negative and you still do not have a period or have period irregularities you should consult your doctor.
If you have had problems with previous pregnancies or you have had treatment for fertility problems, then you should consult your doctor sooner rather than later.
Remember - the EDC is just an estimate. Your obstetrician may calculate a different EDC based on clinical assessment or ultrasound scan tests.
