Face-mask Wearing
COVID infections are still occuring. If you have possible COVID symptoms, to reduce the risk for the staff working in the surgery and to protect other patients in the building, some of whom may have significent vulnerabilities, we ask that you do not come to Blackheath without an appointment, and that when you are in the bulding you wear a face mask that covers your nose and mouth.
This is to reduce the infection risk for everyone, to protect those with significant health issues, and to reduce the risk for the practice staff.
Sharon, Jayne, Kath, Arlette, Karen, Charlotte, and Tanisha manage the office and administration for us, and will typically be your first point of contact with the practice. With the help of computer software they play an important role in monitoring patients needing regular lab tests.
We hope you find the various health related calculators useful.
The pregnancy calculator gets the most hits every week from users
all round the world. Mental health problems, most commonly anxiety and depression, affect at least
one in four of us at any one time. Please see our
Mental Health page which includes links to tools or
questionnaires for anxiety, depression, and post-natal depression.
The World Health Organisation's AUDIT alcohol questionnaire
helps you understand whether your alcohol habit,
or that of someone you care about, is 'OK'. Alcohol misuse is a major cause of physical, social,
and mental health problems.
Blackheath Medical Centre is a modern building with good car-parking and easy access for patients with mobility problems. We look forward to welcoming you there.
