CORONAVIRUS
NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do. Use this service if...
- You think you might have coronavirus.
- In the last 14 days you've been to a country or area with a high risk of coronavirus.
- You've been in close contact with someone with coronavirus.
Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital if you have possible COVID symptoms. Call 111 if you need to speak to someone.
Please do not come to Blackheath without an appointment. To reduce the infection risk for everyone, we need to know why you want to come to the surgery.
Face Coverings
You must wear a face covering when you attend the surgery. You must wear the face covering properly - it must cover your nose and your mouth. Do not remove the face covering to speak. Some people have been coming to the surgery with poorly fitting face coverings that slip down off their nose - please make sure your face covering fits properly.
Digital FirstBlackheath continues with a a "digital-first" policy in line with National guidance. Lord Bethell has signalled major changes in health service delivery, saying “We will have to change our approach to infection control and hygiene in a way that puts face-to-face contact in a completely different way. It makes no sense for lots of ill people to congregate in a GP surgery and spread their disease amongst one another. We have to rethink the way in which we did our healthcare in the past to protect healthcare workers and patients themselves ... and to afford a sustainable healthcare system that can afford to look after everyone.”
